Alberto Cabazos Saenz Sr., age 83, passed away on March 19, 2026, at his residence in Post, Texas, where he had made his home for 50 years. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Lubbock with Pastor Hernandez of Bethel Assembly of God will officiate. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. A viewing will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Bethel Assembly of God located at 111 N. Ave. I in Post, TX.

Alberto was born on April 23, 1942, in Lenz, Texas, to Jose Saenz and Anita Cabazos. A man of the land, he dedicated his working life to farming and agricultureOn August 17, 1962, Alberto married the love of his life, Petra Prieto, in Pawnee, Texas. Together they built a life full of family and enduring love.

Alberto is survived by his children: Stephanie Ramirez of Post, Elena Rodriguez of Post, Renee Saenz of Post, and Alberto Saenz Jr. of Lubbock; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Petra on March 21, 1999 and his parents.
