Beth Hodges, 80, of Post, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 2, 2024. Beth was born August 2,1943 in Commerce, Texas to W.O. Stewart and Blanche Brown Stewart. After finishing highschool she married Jimmy Edward Hodges on August 11,1961. Beth was a farmer's wife, homemaker and worked briefly as a cosmetologist. She and Jimmy raised three daughters and a multitude of others, and they loved them each and all. Mom was a wonderful cook, a great listener and gave good advice to those who would listen. She loved fishing and she and Dad referred to themselves as "Fishin' buddies". Beth was preceded in death by her parents W.O. and Blanche Stewart and her husband Jimmy. Beth is survived by her children Laurie Lynn Putman (husband Johnny) Post, Texas, Terri Sue Reed (husband Ronnie), Justiceburg, Texas and Kristi Renea Parrish (husband Ronnie) Post, Texas, Six grandchildren Richard Christopher Putman, Jessica Hailey Putman Hegdal, Chelsey Rhea Reed Baldiva, Kotelyn Keith Redman, Keegan Dale Stanley, and Aidan Glancy O'Bryan, a number of great grandchildren and her loving sister Linda Green of Post. Services for Beth will be graveside at Terrace Cemetery, Post, Texas at 2:00 on Friday January 5, 2024.
