Bobby Eugene Green, 86, passed away on August 12, 2024, in Post, TX. Bobby was born December 24, 1937, in Post, TX, and was the spoiled, only child of James Lenial (Bud) and Clara Estelle (Deen) Green.

Bobby attended Post schools, graduating in 1956. While in high school, Bobby worked for Postex Cotton Mill. Bobby graduated from Draughn's Business College with a technical degree in electronics. He married Linda June Stewart on June 19, 1965. They made their first home in Lubbock, TX where Bobby worked in the service department at Radio Lab.

Later Bobby and Linda moved to Graham, TX where he worked for Kendrick's TV and always found time to go fishing (every day running a trot line after work). In 1972, Bobby and Linda returned to Post, TX where he owned and operated Caprock TV, serving his community. In 1981 Bobby went to work for GTE and retired in 1999 (so he no longer had to dread answering those after hour calls). Not one to be idle, Bobby worked at Lake Alan Henry after retirement to remain out in nature where he found peace and enjoyment.

Bobby was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, building computers, and eBay. He was intelligent, fiercely independent, a hardworking perfectionist, and honest to a fault. He has imparted his passion for computers, the outdoors, boating and fishing for his family to enjoy as he did. We will miss his wisdom, his great advice, his ability to fix any and everything, and his handyman skills (that kept us from having to hire anyone!). He could build a computer, a deck, remodel a house, dig a trench, and drive from one side of the country to the other without stopping (no matter how bad passengers may need a pitstop)! When Bobby made his mind up, he persevered to the finish, even in his passing. He was determined and could accomplish anything!

Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, his children Vicki (Art) Taguba of Lubbock, TX and Jay (Angel) Green of Slaton, TX, three grandchildren Jace (Ashley Barney) Green of Lubbock, TX, Maeson (Larz) Coleman of Slaton, TX, and Jadyn Green of Slaton, TX, three great grandchildren, Ireland, McKaley, and Kallen Coleman, and his dog, Fred. He will be missed greatly, until we see him again in heaven!

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 15 2024 at Terrace Cemetery with Jimmy Valdez officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
