Carl Franklin Bishop, 81, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Carl was born on July 10, 1943 in Coble Switch, Texas to Alvin and Imogene Bishop. He was the second born son of four and married the love of his life, Patricia Evalee Bishop, on February 6, 1962. They were the perfect example of what a loving marriage looks like for 57 years. Carl was a hard-working man all his life putting thousands of miles behind the wheel of his Peterbilt. He was also a proud and devoted husband Daddy, Pawpaw, brother, uncle and friend who cherished spending time with his family. Carl was a man of faith and loved to read his Bible and talk about Jesus. You could always count on him to crack a joke and get everyone laughing. He spread joy everywhere he went and never knew a stranger.
Carl is survived by his children Leila and Mark Croucher, Wayne and Melissa Bishop, Michael and Jenny Bishop; his brother Lewis Bishop; his grandchildren, Jessica Sadler, Amanda and Keith Guthrie, Dustin and Amanda Bishop, Jacob and Becca Bishop, Shelbie and Eric De La Cruz, Randi Bishop, Michael Bishop Jr., Marlei Croucher, Eric and Heather Croucher and Travis Croucher. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Patricia Evalee Bishop and his two brothers Roy and Roland Bishop.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Hudman Funeral Home 615 W Main St. Post, TX. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Southland, TX. Family visitation will be Friday, February 21 at the funeral home.Pallbearers will be: Dustin Bishop, Jacob Bishop, Michael Bishop Jr., Doug Saffel, Jeff Brehmer.
