Isaiah 53:5
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
Carlos Alfredo Soria Barriga, was born September 17,1990 in Michoacan, Mexico. Carlos passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas. Carlos was 35 years old. He had lived in Riverside, California for most of his childhood. The later part of his adulthood was lived in Post and Lubbock, Texas. Carlos was a hard worker and had a variety of jobs in the oilfield. Carlos wasn't the type to turn down a job no matter how messy or hard it was. He started as a fill in floor hand on a pulling unit. He transitioned to work for Steve Curb at CJ oilfield services, where he learned to get up early and work late every weekend. Ker Tec was his last place of employment where he started as an operator and quickly moved up to superintendent overseeing hydro seeding operations, that required him to travel and complete jobs in Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas. He was proud of what he had accomplished.
Carlos began his road to recovery with the help of Dove Tree rehab. In the recovery program, Carlos was an inspiration to those around him as he shared his testimony. He found faith in God and helped others with their sobriety. Carlos would light up the room and make you feel like a million dollars. He was truly one of a kind, a best friend, a mentor, and a brother. If there was ever a need, he was someone you would've wanted in your corner. He was selfless to the best of his ability.
