Carol Dean Pate

Military graveside services for Carol Pate, 73, of Post will be at 2PM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 with Bro Jack Maddox of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Terrace Cemetery in Post.
Carol died on August 11, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born to L. B. and Ruth (Kiker) Pate on February 18, 1944 in Post. After graduation from Post High School he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for almost 23 years retiring in 1985. He married Helen Mayhon on July 30, 1966 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was an avid member of the Cowboy Shooting Association.
Survivors include his wife Helen of Post,one daughter: Deanne Hancock of Post, one brother: James Pate of Corsicana, Texas, one sister: Elaine Salazar of Florida, four grandchildren: Lisa Schmitt of Post, Tx, Courtney Schmitt of Clovis, NM, Donovan Schmitt of Post, Tx and Zachary Schmitt of Columbia, SC and two great grandchildren: David Rodriquez of Post, Tx and Saran Rodriquez of Cummings, Tx.
Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6 until 7:30 Pm at the funeral home
