Carolyn Halford, born on March 6, 1936, in Centralia, IL, entered her eternal home peacefully on December 14, 2024, in Andrews, TX. She was the beloved daughter of Edward and Irene Winkler.

Carolyn was a cherished member of her family and community, known for her unwavering faith and commitment as a servant of the Lord. For decades, she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Post, TX, where she found fulfillment in her spiritual journey.

In her younger years, Carolyn was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she enjoyed serving her community alongside many dear friends. Her culinary skills were well-known, especially her delightful Christmas cookies and her famous skillet-fried hamburgers, which brought joy and comfort to many.

A lover of life, Carolyn enjoyed country dancing with her dance group, nurturing her plants, and expressing her creativity through sewing.

She is survived by her brother Jim Smith (Alice) of Arlington, TX; two sons, William Eugene Halford (Marie) of Andrews, TX, and Howard Edward Halford (Carol) of Shallowater, TX, and her daughter, Connie Dunn of Andrews, TX. Her memory will live on through her precious seven grandchildren: Jayson Dunn, Kevin Dunn, Derek Halford, Heath Halford, Jared Halford, Hunter Halford, and Amanda Watts, along with seven great-grandchildren: Tristan Halford, Liam Halford, Eli Halford, Raygan Dunn, Gunner Dunn, Aurora Watts, and Kylie Jo Watts; and one bonus great-granddaughter, Abi Russell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, AD Halford; her parents, Edward and Irene Winkler; her beloved grandson, Cody Crenshaw; her sister, Norma Newbold; and her son-in-law, Mark Dunn.

Carolyn Halford will be remembered for her loving spirit, generosity, and the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church with Chaplain Donnie Rollie officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jared Halford, Hunter Halford, Derek Halford, Tristan Halford, Jayson Dunn and Kevin Dunn.
