Services for Carrie Mae Gilbert, 62, of Post were held at 2 PM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Kelly officiating. Burial was in Terrace Cemetery. Visitation was an Friday from 6 until 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Carrie died on Auguast 11, 2017 in Lubbock. She was born in Marlin, Tx on November 2, 1954 to A. D. Taylor and Addie Faye Latson. She married Mac Allen Gilbert who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter: Sheila Davis-Taylor of Mesquite, two step children; Patricia Martin of Post and Owen Gilbert of Post, three brothers; Elgin Taylor of Midland, Jessie Taylor of Midland and Alvin Taylor of Midland and five sisters; Helen Curtis of Post, Mary Daniels of Midland, Verta Alexander of Midland, Bobbie Taylor of Midland and Vezeta Faye Harvey of California.
