Services for Charles (Carlos) Martinez, 72, of Post will be at 11 AM Friday, May 22, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton with Rev. Chris Downer officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be at 2 PM under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

He died on May 18, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born on August 29, 1947 in Monte Vista, Co. to Charles and Mary Stella (Sanchez) Martinez. He married Rosie Caballero on April 23, 1966 in Hale Center. He worked for Post Independent School District for many years. He also owned and operated a barber shop in Post. He was a member of the Baptist Church and served as a lay minister for many years.

Survivors include his wife Rose Martinez of Post, mother: Estella Glenn Sanchez of LaJara, Co., two daughters: Raquel (Randy) Britton of Post and Debbie (Jesus) Rodriquez of Post, one son: Adam Martinez of Loveland, Co., one sister: Virginia (Anthony) Archuleta of Amalia, NM, 10 Grandchildren: Martin Garza, Daniel Garza, Joshua Garza, Alejandro Martinez, Hunter Martinez, Catharine Martinez, Austin Britton, Brandon Britton, Cayce Britton and Cooper Britton and 5 Great Grandchildren.
