Charles Lee McCook, 83 of Post passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Post Church of Christ with Travis Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. A visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the funeral home. Charles was born February 20, 1942 in Ballinger, TX to the late Woodson Elmo and Mary Alice (Leathers) McCook. He married Dorothy Bryan on March 27, 1964 in Waco, TX. Charles attended and graduated high school from Abilene High. He then attended college at Abilene Christian College, and Baylor Medical School where he graduated with a Doctorate in Dentistry. He has lived in Post since 1974 and was a member of the Church of Christ. Charles is survived by his wife Dorothy McCook of Post; children Leigh Rhyne and husband Michael of Spring, Jay McCook and wife Lynn of Muleshoe, Matt McCook and wife Alyssa of Edmond, Colt McCook and wife Kristen of Searcy, AR., grandchildren Hunter, Ashlyn, Taylor and Carter Rhyne; Gage, Garrison and Grant McCook; Collin, Katie and Jackson McCook; Caleb and Joshua McCook.
