Delmar "Bud" Roberts, 83, of Lubbock died December 28, 2019 at home.  Services will be Tuesday December 31, 2019 at 10:00AM in the First Baptist Church in New Deal with Rev. Sil Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Idalou Cemetery.  Bud will lay in state Monday - December 30th at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou.

He was born December 21, 1936 to Ervin & Molly Victoria Roberts.  He served in the U.S. Navy.  Bud married Melba Nelson on June 22, 1999 in Clovis NM.  Bud worked for his uncle, Bill Reed and his brother Danny moving houses and as manager of McMean Service Station in McMean, Texas.  Bud spent most of his life repairing and remodeling houses.

He is survived by his wife Melba of Lubbock; 2 daughters; Tonie Lenert of Conroe, Texas and Trish (Danny ) McDorman; 4 sons, Randy (Kathy) Nelson of Idalou, David (Becky) Nelson of New Deal, Ray (Lanett) Roberts of San Antonio and Lesley Roberts of Waco; sister, Reese McMeans; 2 brothers Danny(Paula) Roberts of Slaton, Randy (Joan) Roberts of Slaton; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by 1 brother Stanley.
