Services for Doris Jean Hughes, 63, of Temple will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the First Baptist Church. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Doris died on June 26, 2019 in Temple. She was born on October 7, 1955 in Waco to Odell and Margie (Reed) Curtis Sr. She worked in the public school system as a janitor. She was preceded in death by one son: Michael Hughes,two brothers: Eugene Reed and Jimmy Curtis, and one sister: Glenda Guitron.

Survivors include two daughters: Yolanda Hughes of Houston and Joni Hughes of Temple, five brothers: Lemuel Curtis of Post, Kenneth Curtis of Austin, Clinton Curtis of Post, Odell Curtis Jr. of Austin and Richard Curtis of Post, five sisters: Linda Bell of Post, Gazzie Harper of Post, Vivian Jefferson of Post, Beatrice White of Austin and Marilyn Delce of Snyder, five Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
