Edna Jane McCowen 81, of Temple passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2026 at the  Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Chapel with Curt Greer officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

A visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the funeral home.

Edna was born November 5, 1944 in Brookston, TX to Claude A. And Nellie C. (Willingham) Redman. She married Eddie McCowen on July 6, 1962 in Lubbock, TX.

She is survived by her sons Rodney McCowen and wife Ronda of Round Rock, TX and Robert McCowen of Temple, TX; grandchildren Weldon McCowen, Makayla McCowen, Jonathon McCowen and Krystal Tomlin; brother A.E. Redman of Post; sister Claudia Odom of Post and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie and grandson Weston.
