Esther L
Hernandez
September 25, 1963 – November 13, 2024
Esther L. Hernandez 61, of Post passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at her residence. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 18, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Jacob Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Esther was born September 25, 1963 in a small town in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Her parents Florencio and Teresa Lopez relocated their growing family to a small ranch just outside of Snyder, Texas when she was only 1 month old. Esther became a Post resident in her teen years and graduated from Post High School in
1983. She married the love of her life, Santiago Hernandez, December 5, 1983 and they had their 4 children: Elizabeth, Veronica, Crystal and Jonathan. After the passing of her beloved husband in December of 2000, she faced the world fearlessly and faithfully, dedicating every moment to her life to provide for her children.
Esther will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother, instilling the importance of grace and unity. She was a supportive and trustworthy sister to her 11 siblings: Sergio, Rebecca, Laura, Christina, Florencio Jr., Oscar, Juan, Lydia, Leticia, Hurbano, and Robert. The most loving Nana to her 7 sugar boogers: Marco, Landyn, Matthew, Malorie, Adara, Kinslee and Keira. She was a witty friend to all, always having a funny
comeback, in the blink of an eye. Life's obstacles did not surpass the beauty she saw in everyone and everything around her. Although her
time here seemed short, she impacted the lives of many and will be missed dearly.
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your
staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
