Gene Hair, 88, of Post died May 24, 2019 at his home.  Services will be held Monday, May 27, 2019 at 4:00PM in the Post Church of the Nazarene.

Interment will be in Terrace Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Sunday, May 26th at Hudman Funeral Home.

Gene was born on December 8, 1930 in Bell County to S. W. and Arlia (Dossey) Hair. He married Mildred Lois Baxter on September 6, 1981 in Post. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2001. He was a heavy equipment operator in the oilfield for many years.

Survivors include three sons: Ronnie Hair of Andrews, Kenny Hair of Post and Gary Hair of Post, two daughters: Shirley Smiley of Odessa and Linda Kane of Gardendale, three brothers: Floyd Hair of Post, Wayne Hair of Lamesa and Roger Hair of Post, two sisters: Janice Pieper of Hondo and Patricia Clark of Kerrville, 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Carol Hair and one son: Arville Hair and several brothers and sisters
