George B. Reece, 75, of Post died November 28, 2019 at his home.  Services will be held December 5, 2019 at 2:00PM in the First Baptist Church of Post with Rev. Jimmy Holleman & Rev. Keith Garner officiating.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Hudman Funeral Home from 6-7:30PM.

George was born May 15, 1944 in Tahoka to J. B. and Alice (Holcomb) Reece.  He graduated from Tahoka High School in 1962.  After some college he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam from August 1965 until August 1967.  He was a POW in Vietnam for a portion of that time.  He married Barbara Holleman on February 14, 1969 in Post.  She preceded him in death on December 22, 2001.  He worked as a pumper for George R. Brown from 1983 until he retired in 2009.  He then worked for Dalby correctional Unit from 2010 until 2016.

Survivors include one daughter Melanie and husband Brit Osborn of Post and one son Eric and wife Jacqueline Reece of Orlando, Fl., four grandchildren: Russ Morris of Post, Jacey Reece of Orlando, Fl., Jansen Reece of Orlando, Fl. and Jake Morris of Post.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Melissa Kahl and Brooksie Mahagan.
