Gerarda Esthela Montanez age 65 loving wife, mother, and adoring grandmother passed away peacefully to be with the Lord early December 30, 2022 in Rincon de Romos Aguascalientes. Esthela was born on April 15, 1957 to Cruz and Modesta Delgado in Pabellon De Arteaga Ags.
Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John G Restrepo at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Saturday January 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Grassland Cemetery.
Esthela had a servants' heart and was a friend to all. She enjoyed volunteering, fundraising for several causes and cooking and especially her famous Chile Rellenos. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic church and served as a Guadalupana in Post and also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Pabellon De Arteaga AGS.
Survivors include her adoring husband Juan of the Grassland Community; Daughters Xochitl Lopez and husband Hector of Houston, TX.; Jessica Bryant and husband Deshawn of Slaton, TX.; Sons Eric Montañez of Lubbock, TX., Evan and wife Marbella Montanez of the Grassland Community; Sister San Juana Delgado of Pabellon De Arteaga MX.; Brothers Hector Jose (Chepo) wife Nina of Post, TX.; Raul and wife Nena Delgado of Post, TX.; Eight Grandchildren who she thought the world of Martiza Alaniz, Haley Lopez, Nathaniel Bryant, Hector Lopez, Kaden Montanez, Breland Bryant, Xol Lopez, and Liam Montañez. She is preceded in death by her parents. Brothers Luis Delgado, Manuel and wife Maria Delgado, and Jose Delgado. She is also survived by several, nieces, nephews, cousins, Goddaughters, and Godsons. The family will receive friends from 3:30-6:00 with a Rosary to follow on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Hudman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are: Jose Luis Carrillo, Augie Menchaca, David Norman, Steve Norman, Alejandro Rodriguez, and Armando Rodriguez.
Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the outpouring of love, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.
