Glenda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Post.
She married John W. Dudley and went on to have four children with that marriage. Sandra Kay Little of Lubbock, Tx, Tim Dudley (Sharon) of Houston, TX, Barbara Shadwick (Tommy) of Odessa, TX and Judy Ramirez (Bear) of Levelland, TX. She also had 3 bonus sons, Ray Dudley, Danny Dudley and Kym Dudley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dudley, Sandra Little, Tim Dudley, Ray Dudley, Danny Dudley and Kym Dudley, Tommy Shadwick and grandson Brandon Massey.
Glenda has two living daughters, Barbara Shadwick and Judy Ramirez and one bonus daughter Sharon Dudley whom she also loved dearly. Her son-in-law Bear was very precious to her as on every visit she would ask him to take her fishing. He always smiled and would tell her as soon as the drs would let him they would go together. Mom loved Sharon, Tommy and Bear with all her heart and treated them like her own.
She has 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild whom she adored.
Later on in her life she married E.A. Howard and they traveled and enjoyed running their RV Park together. E.A. was a loving man and was welcomed by her family.
In 2022 Glenda faced her greatest fear, a diagnosis of Dementia/Alzheimer’s. At that time she moved from Post to Lubbock to The Plaza Senior Facility. Mother grew to love the staff there and would say quite frequently that she was happy. She missed running the Post View RV Park as she would mention often but was happy in her last years with us.
Glenda leaves behind a legacy of love and tireless devotion. She truly made the world a better place to those who knew her and she will always be missed. Known as Mamaw Howard to those dear and Mom, Mother and friend to her loved ones.
Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association, The Plaza Senior Facility in Lubbock, Texas or the charity of your choice.
