Services for Hector Chapa Sr., 60, of Levelland and formerly of Post will be at 10 AM Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Wednesday.

Hector died on August 1, 2021 in Ft. Worth. He was born on February 6, 1961 in Reynosa, Mexico to Amando and Anita (Barrera) Chapa Sr. He married Linda Espitia on June 29, 1985 in Post. They lived in Post for many years where he worked for the Post ISD before moving to Levelland to be a contract pumper for Rocker A.

Survivors include his wife Linda Chapa of Levelland, two daughters: Alexandra (Gabriel) Reyes of New Home and Kelly (Mark) Gatica of Ft. Worth, one son: Hector (Marcela) Chapa Jr. of Levelland, two brothers: Francisco Chapa of McAllen and Sergio Chapa of Levelland, two sisters: Aminta Chapa of McAllen and Rosabel Vasquez of McAllen and five grandchildren: Natalia, Mason, Emma and Olivia Reyes of New Home and Hector Chapa III of Levelland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amando and Anita Chapa Sr. and one brother, Amando Chapa Jr.
