Obituary

We are all stories in the end.

Jana's story started January 15, 1967 in Lubbock, TX, born to Tom and Janey (Mahle) Middleton, and ended on April 20, 2024 in Post, TX.

Growing up on the family ranch, Jana learned the value of hard work, fat cows and a good "cowboy" rain.  She was a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '89 (WHOOP!) and loved to attend football, basketball and baseball games whenshe was in College Station.

Jana's most valuable possessions were the friends she made that became family.  From her time at Harris Moran Seed Company and later, Texas Farm Bureau, she made friends that lasted a lifetime no matter the miles that separated them.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Brett.  Jana is survived by her chosen family including lifelong best friend who became a sister, Kayla Slack (Skip) and their children Kyle and Karsyn.

To honor Jana, contributions can be made to the Texas Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher Scholarship program.  Checks can be made payable to Texas Farm Bureau with Jana Middleton in the memo.  Mail all contributions to Texas Farm Bureau, P.O. Box 2689, Waco, TX 76702, attention Whit Weems.

A Celebration of Life "Tank Party" will be held on Saturday, May 25th on Jana's ranch, 1821 E County Road 166, Post, TX at 7pm.

We will always remember Jana by the adventures she had, the achievements she made and the people she loved.
