Obituary

Jane B. Terry went to her heavenly home on June 17th, 2022. Jane was born on April 23, 1937, to Jack and Fannie (Cottle) Ballentine of Tallassee, Alabama. She moved to Post, Texas with her family in October 1951. She attended Post High School and graduated in May 1955. Jane married her high school sweetheart, Mack Terry, on December 11, 1955. She was a member of the Graham Chapel United Methodist Church where she was church secretary for 30 years and played the piano every Sunday for at least 42 years. Throughout her life she worked various jobs outside the home, but she is best known for her downtown restaurant, CoCaRa's. She loved feeding people physically and spiritually. Her hobbies were playing the piano, reading, taking wonderful care of her beloved dog Millie, and telling Mack what to do. As a matter of fact, his affectionate name for her was "Boss Lady".

Jane is survived by two daughters, Cindy Herridge (Jibber) and Jana Underwood (Ray Don); two grandchildren Cody Nowlain (Garrie) and Raylea Underwood; three great grandchildren Maylee Nowlain, Aubrie Knight and Braelynn Knight; adopted in love daughter and granddaughter Dana Acosta and Aijana Smith; sister Judy Bush (Ricky); sister-in-law Nita Terry and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 1/2 years Mack, her parents, grandson Caden Nowlain, sister Kay Horner, brother Jack Ballentine and sister-in-law June Ballentine.

Graveside services will be at 10 AM Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Terrace Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11 AM Thursday at the Graham Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor John Bill Hedrick and Rev. Randy Hardman of First Baptist Church in Gail officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Hudman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Caden Nowlain Memorial Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 66, Gail, Texas 79738 or Graham Chapel United Methodist Church, 1386 FM 399, Post, Texas 79356.
