Jerry Hair, 72, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on October 14th 2023 after losing his battle with cancer.

Jerry is preceded in death by both parents, a sister Reba Dean, and his Wife of 44 years, Sherita.

Jerry was born on August 26, 1951 to Dale Hair and Jane (Buchanan) Hair in Post Texas. On August the 8th, 1970 Jerry married the love of his life Sherita Ann Harper.They went on to have 4 children, Twin girls Cristy and Misty followed by two sons Travis and Jerrad.They moved from Post early in their marriage only to return after Jerry retired and opened Jerry's Gas and more. When the family lost their rock,Sherita, in 2014 Jerry tried his hardest to step in and be the glue holding the family together. Jerry was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed weekends on the river catching catfish with the whole family.

Jerry is Survived by brothers Ricky Hair and Donnie Hair both of Post. He also leaves behind daughters Cristy Hair of Post, Misty Soto and husband Tony of Post, Sons Travis Hair and Wife Danna of Lubbock and Jerrad Hair of Lubbock. And several grandchildren and great grandchildren who all called him PawPaw. Granddaughters Amber Huston and husband Danny of Brownfield, Haylee Molina of Lubbock, Avarie Hair of Lubbock, grandsons Anthony Soto & Kayla Hall of Post, Michael Soto of Post, Tyler Molina of Brownfield, Dimitri Hair of Andrews, Ivan Hair of Lubbock and 7 Great grandchildren, Ty, Peyton, Brenley, Braylee,Brycen, Aracely & Elijah.

Jerry was loved by so many and his presence in our lives will be truly missed until we meet again.

Services for Jerry will be held on Thursday October 19th, 2023,at 2:00PM at Living Water Apostolic Church 608 W 6th St. in Post, Texas officiated by Pastor Lance Gill.

Family will be receiving visitation on Wednesday October 18th from 6-7 PM at Hudman Funeral Home in Post Texas.
