Joaquin Ayala, of Post, passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born on August 15, 1962, in Post to Miguel and Francisca Ayala.
Joaquin was known for his strength, kindness, and deep devotion to his family. He had a warm and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand and bring comfort to those around him. He cherished time spent with loved ones and created lasting memories through storytelling and simple moments together.
He worked as a Chief Roadway Inspector, where he was respected for his dedication, expertise, and strong work ethic. In his free time, Joaquin enjoyed listening to music, watching Notre Dame football, spending quality time with family and friends, and embracing the simple pleasures of life that brought him joy every day. He loved sharing stories, celebrating special occasions, and making everyday moments memorable with those he cared about most.
He is survived by his children, Erine Ayala, Jeremy Ayala, Marcos Ayala, and Alonzo Ayala; his daughters-in-law, Mercedes Ayala and Charlene Ortiz; and his grandchildren, Natalia Ayala, Riley Ayala, Adrian Ayala, Evelyn Ayala, and Miles Ayala, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. He was preceded in death by Antonia Ayala.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 30, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Post. Friends and family are welcome to attend to celebrate his life and legacy. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. A rosary will be held 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the church.
Joaquin Ayala will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in all who knew him.
