November 29, 1965 – December 5, 2021
Joe Angel Guerrero, 56, of Post received his wings on December 5, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas after a short battle with ARDS. Services will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2 PM in the Post School Auditorium with Jimmy Valdez and Sam Rodriquez officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Joe was born on November 29, 1965 in Post, Texas. Joe attended Post High School. He married his "babe" on July 8, 2006, after dating since 1993. Joe loved the oilfield so much he has been doing it for nearly 40 years. Joe was actively involved in the church- Joe loved God and loved being a Christian. He served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He lived life like there was no tomorrow. He was very adventurous. He was always laughing, telling crazy jokes, talking loudly, doing anything to make someone smile or laugh. Everyone knows Joe for his love of football, wrestling and fishing. He knew everything about the NFL. He also loved to go on vacations, especially cruises and anywhere there was a casino. Joe enjoyed going to the Bahamas and Jamaica (He would say they have the best water, food and fish). He enjoyed family time, traveling to other states, especially Wyoming and Washington, D. C. Joe relaxed by laying back in his recliner, watch football and watch a Netflix movie with Kambo. He also loved to ride around with family and BBQ.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Monico Guerrero Sr, mother, Placida Guerrero, sisters Maria Elena Espinoza and Sally Rodriquez, nephew, Tony Guerrero, son Shane and daughter Shanelle Guerrero.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Guerrero, daughters, M'keison Guerrero and Jayde Guerrero and one Special, Kambrie "Kambo" Bilberry, five brothers: Ramon (Arlene) Guerrero, Tino (Judy) Guerrero, Ricky (Linda) Guerrero, Monico Jr. (Irene) Guerrero and Jesse (Heather) Guerrero and three sisters: Isabel (Juan-deceased) Armendariz, Josie (Jorge) Armendariz and Chane Guerrero and a number of nieces and nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Monty Dissinger, Robert Segura, Chris Bilberry, George Antillon, Christian Armendariz, Sidney Graves, John Vernon Delarosa and Art Pettet. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Sanchez, Jacob Dissinger, C. J. Bilberry, Ronnie Cowley, Steve Rodriquez, Jimmy Solis and Rene Armendariz.
