Graveside services for Joe Pat Pennell, 77, of Post will be at 10 AM Friday, October 16, 2020 in Terrace Cemetery with Travis Sweet of the Post Church of Christ officiating. Burial with Military and Masonic honors will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

Pat died in Lubbock on October 8, 2020. He was born on April 8, 1943 in Canyon Valley to Illa Shelton (Pete) and Martha Maud (Swift) Pennell.

He graduated from Post High School and joined the US Air Force where he served in Vietnam. Pat married Susan Campbell on April 2, 1971 in Post. He was a member of the Post Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Pennell of Post, one son: Dennis Pennell of Kansas; two brothers: Kenneth (Betty) Pennell of Hudson Oaks, Tx and Johnny (Vicki) Pennell of San Angelo, Tx; two granddaughters, Sarah Pennell of Paola, Kansas and Fallon Pennell of Gardner, Kansas; three great grandchildren; Harley Ann Cooper, Elijah Cooper and Dakota Justice all of Gardner, Kansas and four nephews; Jason Pennell of College Station, Tx, Marty Pennell of College Station, Tx, Richard (Judy) Pennell of Bryan, Tx and Tim (Andi) Scott of College Station, Tx.
