Joel Martinez 84, of Post passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church with Isaias Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Joel was born May 29, 1940 in Post to Andrew and Margarita (Sepeda) Martinez. He married Georgia Flores on July 22, 1961 in Post. Joel lived most of his life in Post. He owned and operated his upholstery shop for many years. Joel is survived by his wife Georgia Martinez of Post; sons Hiram Martinez of Post, Adrian Martinez of Hutichson, KS; daughters Enedina Villereal of Kansas, Eunice Ramos of Post, Irma Garcia of Kansas, Angela Broome of Kansas City, KS; brother Elias Martinez of Kansas; sisters Elizabeth Haynes of Post, Eva Quinonez of Post; thirty four grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Hiram Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Erik Martinez, Javier Broome, Chris Broome and Demetrius Kennedy.
