Memorial services for Jonathan (Jon) Smith, 66, of Post will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Justiceburg Community Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Jon died on February 5, 2021 at his home in Post. He was born on April 28, 1954 in Earth, Texas to Leon and Juanita (Barlow) Smith. He was a veteran of the US Army and had worked as a deputy sheriff in Lamb County. He later worked in the trucking industry.

Survivors include two daughters: Jona (Trey) Jones of Post and Heather (Neil) Sladecek of Sherman, two sons: Jonathan Smith of Post and Jason (Jennifer) Smith of Post, two brothers: Jimmy Smith of Aspermont and Jerry Smith of Huffman, one sister: Juanine Smith of Huffman, 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
