Memorial services for Joyce Nelson, 90,of Post will be at 11 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Graham Chapel Church of Christ with Robert Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 6 until 7:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Joyce died on November 23, 2021 in Tahoka. She was born in Garza County on March 19, 1931 to Alvin Gideon and Jessie Mae (Ritter) Lofton. She attended school in Post and graduated from Post High School. She married Troy Nelson on December 26, 1950 in Clovis, NM. He preceded here in death on December 17, 2011. She worked at Postex Cotton Mills for many years.

Survivors include one son: Danny (Kathy) Nelson of Post, one daughter: Melinda (James) Morgan of Coahoma, one sister: Gloria Ann (Bobby) Withers of Lubbock, 8 Grandchildren: Jay Nelson of San Antonio, Tx, Robin Nelson of Austin, Tx, Sandy Doughman of Omaha, Ne, Jennifer (Walter) Turnbow of Big Spring, Tx, Mendy (Derek) Ward of Coahoma, Tx, James Lee (Kayla) Morgan of Big Spring, Tx, Christian Moore of Kansas City, Mo and Traci (Wes) Jarrett of Post, Tx and 9 Great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son: Guy Troy Nelson on January 8, 2000.
