Lily Martinez, 67, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away on September 7, 2023, with her family by her side. Lily was born on October 1, 1955 in Lubbock, TX to the late Francis and Florentino Hernandez. Lily was the second eldest of 5 children, and proceeded in death by her bother Tino Hernandez and sister Tonie Ayala.

Lily was a dedicated mother and especially loved her role as grandmother. She had the most warm and outgoing personality and always made everyone around her laugh. She had a big heart and larger than life personality that will be missed by all that knew her.

Lily is survived by her sons Guy Hernandez, and Andrew Martinez and their father Able Martinez; 3 beautiful grandchildren, Alex, Abigail, and Aiden Martinez; daughter-in-law Ana Sanchez; sisters, Irene Griade and Olga Hernandez. She had 8 nephews and nieces and 14 great-nephews and nieces. Lily was a friend to all and will be missed.

Mass for Lily will be 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Jacob Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7 PM Monday, September 11, 2023 at the funeral home.
