Obituary

Linda a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025 at her home in Post Tx. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Post with Pastor Delton Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Heritage House.

Linda was born on December 14, 1941, in Roxton Texas. Lindas warm presence and caring nature left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Linda dedicated her life serving the community of Post and as curator of the Garza County Historical Museum. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Lindas love for her family and the people of this community was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them.

Lindas passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Linda is survived by her daughters Donna Cramer of Red Oak, Cynthia Bell of Post, her son Gary Puckett of Post, and daughter Brandi Booher of Lubbock. She also leaves behind Step sons Arthur Puckett of Cleburne, Rance Puckett of Lubbock, Brothers Ronnie Vandygriff, Michael Vandergriff, Rodney Mahagan, and Art Mahagan; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Puckett, Father Milburn Vandygriff, mother Evelyn Lucille Mahagan, Step father Arthur Mahagan, Brothers Clyde Vandygriff, James Vandygriff, and grandson Pistol Booher.

As we say goodbye to Linda we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family and to the community of Post, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Lindas memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
