Lisa Ann Newton was born September 13th, 1967 in Lovington, New Mexico. She was the second of three daughters of Richard Newton and Phyllis Mitchell. Becoming a mother at a young age, Lisa gave birth to her son. She would later give birth to two daughters. Lisa loved all of her children very much. Later she would be blessed with six incredible grandchildren. Lisa spent her life having fun, being a good friend and following her own path. Being a loving mother and a devoted daughter, Lisa was a crucial part of her son's family and very close with all of her grandchildren and her Father. Lisa passed away on May 29th 2025 in Lubbock, Texas. She had a short but difficult battle with cancer which took her from us too soon. We are devastated by her loss and comforted that she is no longer in pain. We know she will remain close to our family and in our hearts always. She is survived by her Father, Richard Newton, her older sister Janice Newton, her younger sister, Lori Bishop. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Colt and Jennifer Donahoo, her daughter's Jessica Newton and Kasey Mason, her six grandchildren. Daylyn Richey, Cora Garrett, Jackson Donahoo, Kayson Donahoo, Braylee Donahoo and Rose Donahoo and two best friends Kristi Morris and Vickie Dewbre. Memorial service to be held at Hudman Funeral Home 615 Main Street Post, Texas from 2pm to 4pm on June 13, 2025 with remembrance reception to follow at the home of Colt Donahoo, address will be available at the Funeral home.
