Mary Carolyn Ray 83, of Slaton passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her residence. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Terrace Cemetery with Travis Sweet officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. A visitation will be 4 to 5 P.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the funeral home. Mary was born November 24, 1939 in Post to Earl Garth and Edna Bernice (Trull) Smith. She married Jerry Ray on October 24, 1960 in Post. Mary is a member of the Church of Christ and has lived in Slaton the last 46 years. Mary is survived by her husband Jerry Ray of Slaton; sons Barry Ray of Slaton, Andy Ray of Slaton; daughter Traci Culver of Slaton; sister Donna Pierce of Wellington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Johnny Ray and sister Gwen Smith.
