Services for Mary Jo Tanner, 80, of Post will be at 4 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 in the Hudman Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Stark officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mary Jo died on April 2, 2019 in Tahoka. She was born in Oglesby, Texas on October 5, 1938 to Walter and Ida Mae (Carl) Smith. She married Donald Tanner on April 15, 1956 in Tijuana, Mexico. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2018. She worked at Postex Cotton Mills for many years.

Survivors include one son: Tim (Darlene) Tanner of Post, three daughters: Rhonda Troxtell of Post, Judy (Mark) Stark of Tyler, Texas and Lora (Brandon) Davis of LaGrange, Georgia, one daughter-in-law: Vickie Tanner of Post, one brother: Jerry Smith of Amarillo, 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son: Berry Tanner and one son-in-law Richard Troxtell.
