Services for Melvin Lee, 77, of Slaton and formerly of Post will be at 2 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022 in the First Baptist Church of Post with Rev. Ron Pegues of Slaton officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 until 7 PM at the funeral home.

Melvin died on August 11, 2022 in Lubbock. He was born on August 23, 1944 in Gonzales, Texas to Nate Taylor and Mae Ella Ollison. He married Bessie Clark on January 21, 1963 in Tahoka. Melvin worked as a farmer for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Bessie Lee of Slaton, four sons: James Lee of Slaton, Dennis (Melanie) Lee of Lubbock, Marvin (Stacie) Lee of Andrews and Lannie Lee of Slaton, one daughter: Sharon Hastings of Slaton, two sisters: Audrey Price of Austin and Florence Lee of Austin, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
