Mettie Nell "MamaNell" Morris, 87, of Post passed away on August 26, 2019 at Post Nursing and Rehab in Post. She was the widow of D. E. "Whitey" Morris. They shared 60 years of marriage together. Born in Santa Fe County, New Mexico on August 23, 1932 she was the daughter of Lee and Zora (Kimbrough) Pruitt. She operated a daycare for many of Post's youth. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a pillar of love and care to the entire community of Post.

She is survived by children; son Dewayne Morris,, daughters; Kathie Nelson, and Cynthia and Mike Colvin all of Post, Sherri and Tommy Barger of Wolfforth and Judy and Larry North of Lubbock; two sisters, Janice and Ray Wilde of Levelland, Debbie and Chris Lewis of Levelland; one brother, Ray Pruitt of Levelland; Grandchildren: Kevin, Kristen, Amanda, Michael, Jennifer, Rebecca, Rachel, Clifford, Katie, Jill and Jason and 21 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Zora Pruitt, her husband Whitey Morris, her grandson Joshua Hubble, and siblings Ann Coleman, Delbert, Glen, Jackie and Orval Pruitt; Harvey and James Curry and Ruby Barnette.

Grave side services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Terrace Cemetery. The visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 pm on Thursday at Hudman Funeral Home.
