Mike Gomez 71 of Garland formerly of Post passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Templo Baptista with Rev. Daniel Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Mike was born June 20, 1954 in Post to Refugio and Guadalupe Rosas Gomez. He married Maria Elena Hernandez in 2004 at Dallas, TX. Mike worked many years as a Painter. He is survived by his wife Maria Hernandez of Garland; son Michael Nicholas Gomez of Garland; brothers Leonard Gomez of Georgia, Sammy Gomez of Post, Richard Gomez of Post; sisters Janie Gomez Morales of Post, Beatrice Aguilar of Indiana, Susan Soto of Lubbock, Margarita Rivera of Grand Prairie; grandchildren Michael Edward Gomez of Garland and Alessia Gomez of Garland. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Gomez, Anthony Gomez, Arthur Gomez, Mike Gomez, Patrick Soto and Eric Soto.
