Michael J. Hair passed away on the afternoon of October 9, 2021. He was born in Post, Texas on February 26, 1958 to Jack and Marcella (Ammons) Hair. Mike was the owner and president of H & M Dirt Contractors of Post. He not only sought to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by caring deeply for his employees, but through financial contributions to various ministries, including: addiction recovery homes, traveling evangelists, mission organizations and scholarships for Bible college students. Though he supported organizations financially, he was also personally involved in many of them. Mike loved his family deeply and enjoyed every moment with his kids and being "Poppy" for his grandkids. Those who knew him, knew him for his faith! His passion for worship, prayer and the presence of God was the driving force of everything that he put his hands to. He loved spending time on the weekends riding his Harley, often riding hundreds of miles, but loved serving his pastors and church family even more. Mike's favorite quote: "God is exalted. The Holy Spirit is present. The Devils defeated and Jesus is Lord !" (Jerry McGee).

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marcella Hair, and his brother, Jackie. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharla Hair of Post, Tx; his son, Joshua (Summer) Hair of Clover, SC; daughters, Lauren (Jerad) Pool of Kingsland, Tx and Katie Hair of Lubbock, Tx; grandchildren, Jaylyn, Jaxon and Jolie Grace Hair, Kadon, Gavon, Kylei, Averi and Jayton Pool and brothers: Johnny (Amanda) Hair of Post, Tx, Larry Hair of Post, Tx and Steve Hair of Post, Tx.

Funeral Services will  take place at 2 PM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at First Church of the Nazarene in Lubbock, Tx. Graveside services will be in Terrace Cemetery in Post, Tx at 5 PM. Visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 PM Wednesday at Hudman Funeral Home.
