Mildred Jane Boren was born in Post on October 29,1932. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 17, 2024. Mildred known as Millie, graduated from Post High School, attended Texas Tech for a short time until she met Billy Jack Boren. They were married March 4, 1953 and made their home in Lamesa, Texas. Millie remained a housewife until Billy Jacks passing. She then completed her education at Texas Tech. The family then moved to San Angelo where Millie completed her Masters degree at ASU and went on to become an English Literature Professor. Millie remained at ASU until her retirement. Millie married Joseph Sentell in Snyder, Texas. After Joes death she returned to Post for the remainder of her life. Millie was a traveler, and putting together a good party, and loved being a contributor to her community. Millie is survived by her three children David Boren and spouse Cassandra of Post, Texas., Mary Ezell of Snyder, Texas. And Jane Lindsay of Post, Texas; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers John and Jim Boren both of Post, Texas. A sister Carolyn Adams. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
