Modean Pewitt, 81, from Post, Tx passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023 in Lubbock, Tx.

Modean was born on April 15, 1942 to Lawrence and Nora Jackson who preceded her in death. She grew up in Draw, Tx and attended O'Donnell High School.

She went on to marry her beloved husband William (Bernard) Pewitt on January 27, 1961. They had children and a successful business together. They shared a very happy and loving life.

She's preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Nora Jackson, her children Delton Pewitt and Twila(Raymie) Holly, her great grandchildren Baby Dj and sweet Nevaeh, and her brother Jim Jackson.

She's survived by her husband William (Bernard) Pewitt, her loving daughter Jackie Pewitt, her caring son Jamie (Carlos) Pewitt-Corona, her grandchildren Macie(Raymond), Tanner(Keysha), Nikki, Cody, and Abby all of Post, Tx. Amber(Lauro) and Austin(Zianna) of Balmorrhea, Tx. Ashley of Snyder, Tx. Ty(Maria) and Brandon of Amarillo, Tx. Her sisters Katherine and Rosie(Wayne) of Lamesa, Tx. Her brothers Bo(Marita) of Post, Tx, Maurice(Patsy) of O'Donnell, Tx, Jim(Donna) Cameron of California, and her sister in law Dortha. She also had 18 wonderful Great grandchildren and was welcoming 2 new great grand babies. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Modean loved everybody she met. She always had a smile on her face and everything was funny to her. She loved her family with everything she had. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and memaw to all her grandkids and great grandkids. She was very special to all friends and family who loved her.
