Natalee Tracy Shepherd, 89, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 surrounded by family.  She was born May 11, 1936 to the late George H. and Thelma Jo Tracy in Abernathy, Texas.  She graduated from Post High School in 1954.  Natalee married the love of her life, Doug Shepherd in 1954 and they were married 69 years.   She was preceded in death by her husband Doug and by her parents.  Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons Rick (Cindy), Mike (Stacie) and Brad (Holli); 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Carpenter of Henryetta, OK.

Natalee was a stay home mother until her sons finished school.  She then began a 20-year career with the Garza County Probation Office where she made lifelong friends.   Natalee was a faithful member of Post Methodist Church. Her faith was her rock, guiding her actions and service. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed all the birthday and holiday gatherings.  It was the joy of her life to be involved in hergrandchildren's activities. Natalee especially enjoyed Cousins Week when all the grandchildren would come to Nana and Papa's house.   In her later years she was blessed to know her great grandchildren and they brought her great joy.

Arrangements are under the care of Hudman Funeral Home, Post, Texas.  Visitation will be on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  The service will be held at Hudman Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Sam Espinosa officiating.
