Olin Dewitt Looney 90, of Post, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at his residence.

Born on October 27, 1935, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Olin lived a long life marked by dedication to his work and devotion to his family. On July 29, 1960, he married Betty Ellis in McCormick, South Carolina, beginning a marriage that remained an important part of his life.

Olin was the supervisor of Postex Cotton Mill in Post until its closing. He later worked at Plains Cotton Growers Association until his retirement. His years of work reflected steadiness, responsibility, and commitment.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dewitt and Estelle (Walters) Looney; and his wife, Betty Looney.

Olin is survived by his son, Les Looney and wife, Diana, of Post; and by his daughter, Anita Abraham and husband, Cain, also of Post; Five Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren and Three Great Great Grandchildren. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 14, 2026, at Terrace Cemetery with Les Looney officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
