Olive Lillie Rose Baker Shaw
Olive Shaw, 95, of Post Texas passed away July 22, 2023. She will be remembered as a loving child of
God.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev.
Noritaka Kunisawa of Fairfield, TX Officiating. He will be assisted by Rev Al Wise of Post, TX. The burial
will be in Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
Olive was born on August 31, 1927, to Leland Ray Baker and Edna Marion Heckert near El Reno,
Canadian County, OK. One brother George of Oklahoma City, OK, and two half-sisters, Edna Wood of
Cleveland, OK and Alice Southern of Las Animas, CO. Olive married Charlie Roy Shaw on June 1, 1943, in
Oklahoma City, OK, and three children were born to this marriage: Charlene Rose Cook, Janet Ann
Juarros, and Danny Gene Shaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Charlie Roy Shaw, her brother
George Baker, sisters Edna Wood and Alice Southern, and grandson James Lee Juarros
She is survived by children and families Charlene (Randy) Cook of Gilbert, AZ., Janet (Ralph) Juarros of
Colorado Springs, CO and Danny (Nancy) Shaw of Forney, TX, as well as foster daughter Tomoyo
(Noritaka) Kunisawa of Fairfield, TX. Grandchildren include Timothy Crocker, Ted Crocker, Rafael Juarros,
Dan Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Bryan Shaw, Paul Kunisawa, Isaac Kunisawa, Joshua Kunisawa, and Elijah
Kunisawa, She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
