Patrick Dean Gonzales, 35, went to be with hie Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2021. He was born on August 10, 1985 in Post, Texas to Michael Dean and Jacquelyn (Melvin) Gonzales. He graduated from Post High School in 2003 with honors and was an avid high school baseball and football player. He continued his schooling at WTC in Snyder, Texas receiving his Associates Degree in Golf Course Landscaping and Golf Course Management in 2006. Patrick landed his first career job of 7 years as an Assistant Superintendent at Brookhollow Golf Course in Dallas. Patrick met his wife, Laura Zamora of Snyder, Texas while in college in September 2004. They started their life together moving to Dallas in 2006, the same year Patrick lost his Mother in March.  Their first child was born  in 2008.

Patrick and Laura moved back home to Post in 2013 where he had the opportunity to work for the Garza County Sheriff's Office as jailor 9Like his mother, Jackie) and also worked for Lubbock County 911 Dispatch Team. He later landed his dream job as a Cotton Farmer working for Randy Lewis Farms in the Close Ciry area from 2014 until his death. He followed the footsteps his father, Michael, and the love he had for cotton farming. Patrick taught his wife the ropes of running equipment during cotton harvest time

Survivors include his currently pregnant wife, Laura Zamora and three children, Ramiele, RaeLynn, and Leighton Gonzales, one brother, Michael Gonzales and his step-father, Dee Basquez.

Graveside services will be on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2 PM in Terrace Cemetery in Post. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
