It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paula Jo Hair on January 27, 2026, at the age of 77.

Paula was born on July 8, 1948, at Lubbock Memorial Hospital, where she entered the world weighing 7 lbs 6 oz at 9:16 PM. She spent her childhood in Post, Texas, and later moved to Eden, Texas, where she created cherished memories playing volleyball alongside her sister and best friend, Melba June. Paula's talents were evident early on; she proudly participated as a Regionals Contestant for Literary and worked at the Eden Echo Newspaper. Graduating as an Eden Bulldog in 1966 marked the beginning of a life rich in love and connection. On July 23, 1966, Paula married her soulmate, Leslie Hair Sr., in a beautiful ceremony at Calvary Baptist Church in Post, Texas. Their 59 years together were filled with devotion, laughter, and family.

Paula is lovingly remembered by her son, Leslie Hair Jr., daughters, Pam Hardy and husband Royce, Melissa Arp and husband Eric, Terrie Gore and husband Jeremiah, and sister, Diann Gutherie. She will continue to live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Bradley, Cody, Desiree, Skiler Jr., Jackson, Jacey, Ryan, Raeleigh, and Raychel, as well as her precious great-grandchildren: Jonah, Colson, Delilah, Emery, and Caroline. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Hair Sr.; mother, Geneva Jo Rosenbaum Foster; father, Paul Augusta Foster; and cherished sisters, Melba June Cochran, Glenda Kay Foster, and Linda May Foster.

A devoted follower of her Baptist faith, Paula drew strength and hope from her beliefs throughout her life. As a dedicated homemaker and secretary for the family business, she placed immense value on family and made it her mission to ensure that everyone felt loved and appreciated. Her quick wit and warm smile brought joy to all who knew her and will be profoundly missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Hudman Funeral Home, 615 W Main St, Post, TX, on Sunday, February 1st from 2-3 PM. A heartfelt service will take place at First Baptist Church, 402 W Main St, Post, TX, on Monday, February 2nd at 11 AM. Following the service, Paula will be laid to rest at Terrace Cemetery, beside her beloved husband, where their spirits can reunite once more.
