Ricky
Saldivar
April 8, 1965 – October 31, 2020
Ricky Saldivar passed away on October 31, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on April 8, 1965 in Slaton, Texas. As a young child, Ricky often fished and explored the canyons surrounding his hometown. As a teenager at Post High School, Ricky would become an all-star athlete excelling in track and football. In later years, Ricky loved being around his family and friends, bringing smiles to everyone he would meet. Ricky was considered by most everyone to be a great dancer, (known around these parts as The Texas Tornado). He enjoyed being at the lake with family and friends, and would often look for arrowheads.
Ricky is preceded in death by his grandparents Concha Asebedo Saldivar and Francisco R. Saldivar. He is survived by his mother Rosie Perez and father Lupe Perez Sr., three brothers: Bobby, Lupe Jr. and Isaac , four sisters: Lola, Carol, Vicki and Rachel, seven children: Zachary, Tifinie, Amy, Kurtis, Jacob, Hope and Santiago and seven grandchildren: Juhni, Braylen, Ashton, Seth, Jayden, Kambree and Kaislee.
Ricky had a smile that was a light and it was reflected in everyone. He will be remembered as a great friend, loving brother and an amazing Dad. He was the funniest person you'd ever meet, a hard-working man and someone who's love knew no bounds.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all who participated in his healthcare (especially nurse Bailey) and anyone wishing to give a remembrance.
Services will be at 1 PM Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Post. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
