Graveside services for Robert Lee "Pete" Hays will be at 10am Friday, November 11th, 2022 at Terrace Cemetery in Post under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home with Jerin Tyler officiating. He died Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Post. Pete was born January 19, 1935 in Texline, Texas to James and Mattie (Lee) Hays. Pete married Juanella McClellan on November 23, 1962. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2012. Pete proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a proud veteran. Pete worked for Palmer Oil Properties until his retirement to care for his wife. Pete is survived by his son Mikel (Angi) of North Richland Hills, daughters: Marinette (Jerry) of Post and Dejuana Kimbrell of Hugo, OK and one brother, Herbie Hays of Austin. Pete also had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that called him "Pops". He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanella, Granddaughter, Amy Hays, son, Joe Morris Hays and many brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, November 10th from 5-6 at Hudman's Funeral Home.
