Shirley McInroe, 73, of Lubbock died on January 27, 2020 at her home in Lubbock.  She was born on February 8, 1946 in Close City to R. H. and Cleo(Holly) Sappington.  She graduated from Post High School in 1964 and lived in Slaton and Tahoka for a number of years.  She was an escrow officer for Lynn County Abstract.

Survivors include two daughters, Paige (Mike) Rivas of Tahoka and Kyley (Jay) Whitehead of Lubbock; two sons, Jason McInroe of Lubbock and Justin McInroe of Lubbock; two brothers, Roy (Sherry) Sappington of Lubbock and Mackey Sappington of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Meghann (Travis) Breslin, Dane (Mathew) Rivas-Koehl, J. C. McInroe and Sammy McInroe all of Lubbock and one great grandson, Stetson Breslin of Lubbock.
