Stanley James Jones was born on July 18th 1944 in Phoenix Arizona and passed on August 15th at his home in New Home TX. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, father Elmer Lee Jones and mother Betty Jones of Post Tx and also the love of his life Nita Gibson of Slaton Tx. Stanley is survived by his siblings Gary and wife Toni Jones of Plains Tx, sister Darlene Lancaster of Waco Tx and sister Sandy Wilhite of Amarillo TX. Nieces Amy Gunter(Clint) of Stephenville TX and Stacey Patton(Josh) of Frisco TX children of Gary and Toni Jones Nephew Travis Borum (Sandra) of Lubbock TX Nieces Pamela Rodriguez of Waco TX and Donna Fowler of Nampa ID children of Darlene Lancaster and Nephew Markley Wilhite(Christie) of Amarillo TX children of Sandy Wilhite Daughter Misty Roberts(Scott) and grandchildren Cash Patten and Sterling Roberts. Stanley was loved by numerous great nieces and nephews and other children and family members. Stanley grew up most of his life in Post TX and surrounding areas of West TX. Stanley was a hardworking man who loved the farming life and working hard. He took pride in everything he loved, driving and hauling cars all over the country with Misty "Missy" for the past 15 years. Where they spent many hours and days together in the truck. Stanley was not ever one day late for work in 15 years "except maybe the one time he told "Missy" he had a doctor's appointment two weeks prior. Stanley passed away peacefully on Tuesday Aug 15, 2023 with "Missy" by his side. He will be missed tremendously by the Roberts family as for the past year and a half they spent every day together. Stanley was a true testament to a simple happy hard-working man. Stanley loved his strawberry everything lemonade, ice cream and cake almost as much as he loved his family. He loved the Lord and his church family. The family would like to give thanks to everyone who has helped, called and cared for Stanley during the last years and days of his life. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 18th 2023 from 2 to 4pm at Hudman Funeral Home at 615 Main St Post TX 79356.  Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Terrace Cemetery with Steve Byrd officiating.
