Stephen Henry
Fisher
April 19, 1940 – April 7, 2025
Stephen Henry Fisher was born on April 19, 1940, in Amherst, Texas to Jack and Evelyn Fisher. Stephen(s) was his mother's maiden name and Henry was his paternal grandfather's name. Everyone called him Steve. Steve is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte Fisher (nee Webb), his three children, Scott, Gina and Danine, and their respective spouses, children and grandchildren. Steve is survived by 17 direct blood relatives, most of whom live in Washington state, but also Mississippi, California, Texas and South Carolina.
Steve attended high school in Sudan, where his promising football career was cut short by an unfortunate car accident in his senior year in high school. Before moving his family to Washington state in 1966 to work on the SST program for Boeing, Steve supported his family by often working more than one job. Steve spent 30 years at Boeing, mostly as an NC machine operator. Steve's passion was always his family and his church.
Soon after retirement from Boeing, Steve and Charlotte moved back to Texas, settling in Post. Both Steve and Charlotte invested themselves heavily in the Post community, especially the Caprock Springs Fellowship, where they found a new family. His last years were spent in Post, Seattle and finally Slaton, where he and his wife enjoyed the love, support and special care of the good people of Library of Legacies.
Memorial service for Steve to be held September 6, 2025, at Caprock Springs Fellowship.
