Services for Steve Moncrief, 65, of Ralls will be at 3 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from5 until 7 PM in the Garden Room of Broadway Church of Christ. Burial will be in Dallas County on Tuesday.
Steve died on November 29, 2018 in Ralls. He was born in Dallas County on November 24, 1953 to Elmer and Juanita (Chance) Moncrief. In 1976 he graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in History. He went on to teach at Frenship Junior High School as well as many other ares schools during a teaching career spanning more than twenty years. In the next chapter of his life he spent ten years as a Nursing Home Administrator in Littlefield,Matador and the Lubbock area.
Steve attended Broadway Church of Christ when he moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech. During the 42 years he was blessed to be a member of the church he participated in the bus ministry, bible studies and the Wednesday night choir.
Survivors include his children; Will Moncrief of Post, Michael Moncrief of Lubbock, Chris and wife Kristi Moncrief of Lubbock, Brad and wife Nicole Moncrief of Anson and Katy Moncrief of Lubbock, Grandchildren: Alexia, Mycah, McKenzie, Samantha and Oakley, Brothers: Lewis and wife Delzene Moncrief of Lubbock, Ben and wife Sandra Moncrief of Lubbock and Sister Judy  and husband John Lovelace of Lancaster and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,and a sister Nancy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial toChildrens Home thru Broadway Church of Christ.
